Q: Why?
A: The members of my family always used and still use to like singing a lot, so it was only a matter of time that it caught me as well. Sometime, I started thinking: "I can do it just as well as the professionals!". I recorded my first cassettes with self-written songs in 1995, since 1998, I changed to CDs. From 2001 on, I started to give copies of my CDs to my friends. For me, the fun part is the main reason for doing it and having the chance to be creative. Maybe I'm a little out of key sometime, but that's not what matters. For the D+I+M+O history and the discography pre-2001, check the CD-Rom part of "Dilettanten plugged".
A: I try to cover as many styles as possible, repititions are boring, but I'm mainly experimenting with electronic music.
A: No. By now, D+I+M+O is just a fun project, I just give some copies out to friends every now and then. Since I have been asked about my songs often lately, I decided to put some of them online in the download-section of this page.
A: The Hitchhikers were excisting from 1999 to 2001 and consisted of Lukas S. (music and piano) and me (lyrics and voice). Unfortunately, Lukas has moved after graduation und the project has been put on hold. Lukas got married in the meantime and is now a member of the christrockband In G-Sus.
A: D+I+M+O is a soloprocekt. I write my own texts and mix the songs myself. Every now and then though, I ask my friends to join me and add some additional voices. Some topics are best presented with female vocals.
A: I'm playing the trumpet since 1991 and right now, I try to learn some keyboard. I usually use samples for my songs.
